I also co-authored two books of wacky historical anecdotes: Strange But True San Francisco: Tales of the City by the Bay and Strange But True Chicago: Tales of the Windy City (both Globe Pequot 2005) weren’t my titles of choice, but titles are a bit like Isaac in the biblical story of Abraham. You have to be willing to sacrifice your title, because the publisher usually changes it – unless they let you keep it on some arbitrary whim.
